"Placed an order for 6 mallard eggs to add to my own after one of the two salvaged eggs from my garden passed away half-way through incubation, didn't want a lonely duck! Start to finish, Alex has been extremely helpful and prompt with offering advice for my own egg as a first-time hatcher and the 6 I ordered from him. The eggs arrived securely packaged all the way from Northern Ireland to Kent, 535 miles! Will update on hatching as soon as my new babies are born"

"I bought 6 Barbu Danver eggs from Alex’s Birds off eBay.
I didn’t realise until I had ‘won’ them that they were actually coming to Northamptonshire from Ireland, so I became very skeptical as to wether they would hatch or not after such a journey.
The eggs arrived a few days later, very well packed. I let them settle for 24 hours, as advised, before putting them in the incubator.
On day ten, I candled the eggs to find one of the 6 clear which I disregarded.
Pleased to say that on day 21, the remaining 5 all hatched off successfully and I am absolutely chuffed to bits with the result.
This was my first ever ebay buy of hatching eggs and I would definitely buy eggs from Alex’s Birds again.
The service was quick, the eggs were very well packed and I think 5 out of 6 eggs is a fantastic result."
